Electronic document flow will free the cargo transportation market participants from financial and time-related costs

It is what was discussed on the Forum Digital on February 6, in the framework of which a public discussion took place “Two clicks instead of two weeks: how electronic documents save costly resource”, during which advantages of keeping electronic document flow were discussed.

The participants of the discussion were Andrii Ivasiv, cofounder of Delivery Group, chairman of the transporting and logistics committee at the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (UUE), Dmytro Ptashnyk, director of department of logistical support of CJSC “Myronivskyi khliboproduct”, Serhii Kondratenko, manager of the department of development and ERP support at Rozetka.ua, Anton Skokov, chief of the implementation team of online service of electronic document turnover “Vchasno”.

During his speech, cofounder of Delivery Group, chairman of the of the transporting and logistics committee at the UUE, Andrii Ivasiv, pointed out that electronic format of e-CMR note will free the cargo transportation market participants from financial and time-related costs, connected with the errors of manual input and renewal of this original document when it is lost, damaged or not returned.

“If you want your business to be profitable, electronic document flow must become one of your milestones of your processes”, - Andrii Ivasiv said.

“In the beginning of 2017 “Delivery” started to get their clients to move to electronic document flow. In July we offered our clients to use an alternative online service “Vchasno”. The new method of document flow enabled us to save both time and money. For instance, if earlier to send one document, it took an accountant to spend from 5 to 15 minutes, now this time has decreased by 5 times, regardless of how far our customer is”, - pointed out Andrii Ivasiv.

A considerable advantage of “Vchasno” became providing safe exchange of information between “Delivery” and the clients, that use different types of software.

Also, Andrii Ivasiv pointed out that from the moment of launching “Vhasno”, 11,805 companies have already joined to the service and the number of the signed electronic documents increase by 5% each month in average, which significantly simplifies the work of the companies on document flow.

Concerning benefits of e-CMRs, he said that as of today, really each company has an opportunity, in accordance with law No 4496, to create and sign electronic documents. However, in case with a CMR, electronic version of it can be created only as an addition to the paper counterpart, which accordingly does not ease the work of the participants of the process of transportation and delivery of cargo.

According to him, in case with e-CMRs, for transportation companies the main advantage will be simplification of making, processing, and fast signing of an e-CMR by the process participants, absence of necessity to make the lost documents again. Besides, we consider that namely writing out in the regulatory acts of compulsory using of e-CMR will lead to speeding up the payment for the transportation service, since now many companies make payments only when they receive originals of e-CMR, signed by all the participants of the transportation.

“We hope that within several upcoming months, the law of Ministry of Transportation about implementation of electronic CMR will be signed. However, today every company which would like to keep up with market developments, must start testing e-CMRs in order to be ready to start on time”, - summarized Andrii Ivasiv.
