“Delivery” company increased profitability by 28% in 2018

“Delivery” summarized the 2018 year, having reported about growth of demand for the service of address delivery in Ukraine. Thus, for January-December of the last year, the share of the addressed service was 26.3% from all the cargo turnover, which is 7.1% more than for the same period of 2017.

At the same time, average weight of 1 package reached 257 kg, and surpassed the index of 12 months of 2017 by 1.2 times. The most popular type of deliveries became aggregated cargo weighing more than 30 kg – average number of its daily dispatches rose by 5% to the previous reporting period. At that, the company demonstrated considerable growth and in the segment of pallet transportation, increasing the average number of the transported pallets by 22%.

Among other things, “Delivery” paid particular attention to increasing the number of offices, improving servicing, and modifying the existing offices last year. During 2018, the number of the company representative offices increased by 10% and made up 315 outlets for accepting and issuing cargo in Ukraine. Increasing the network required more strict control at the employees’ adhering to the standards and clients’ awareness about regulations on safe transportations. For this purpose in 2018 a huge information campaign was launched on insurance and proper packing of the cargo at the representative offices and the website of “Delivery” – with personalized recommendations on certain types of the transported items. The interim positive results of the campaign can be considered increasing the share of insured cargo to 70% with total amount of insurance to 7.5 billion UAH, decreasing the share of cargo loss by 6% and decreasing the share of complaints of the clients by 4% compared to the year 2017. As a whoIe, loyalty of the clients to “Delivery” company in 2018 rose as well: readiness to recommend the company was manifested by 56.25% customers (at general sampling of more than 1,000 respondents).

“Delivery” continued differentiation of business applications for certain fields of economy of Ukraine. In July of 2018, “Building price list” was launched called to formulate the price for transportation of building materials by amount, but not by quantity, weight, or volume. From January to December a considerable growth of transportation for the “Auto price list” was witnessed – “Delivery” transported 84% automobile parts more than in 2017. At that, the amount of the transported tires and alloy wheels increased by 96%. In the first half of 2019, a special fee for the agricultural businesses is planned to be launched.

In September 2018, “Delivery” company announced a restart for the Delivery Shop service on delivery of the goods from the Internet shops in the USA. The updated version has two types of services: classical forwarding and paying out of the goods with delivery to the nearest office of the logistical company “Delivery”. Delivery rate setting starts from 0.5 kg of the actual weight of the goods, which correspondingly will become 3.4 USD. 

Modification of operation processes in “Delivery” in 2018 mostly touched transit warehouses, which improved the index of cargo safety.

In 2019 “Delivery” will reach decreasing the time periods on most of the directions, will improve the communication channels for the clients, will expand the number of industry solutions and number of the representative offices in Ukraine, will launch new digital services.
